No, they are actually two very different electronic items. The iPod Touch is a device that has a touch screen, plays music, has videos and photos, has apps of all sorts, and can go on the internet. The iPhone is just that except the iPhone can text, use all available apps (as the iPod Touch is somewhat limited), and can make phone calls and can use a 3G network.
