Best Answer

yes because it makes your car very very fast like a tonka truck

Updated Answer

Yes because if you don't the engine will not be lubricated and could seize and cause expensive damage to the big end shells piston rings and cylinder bores.

How do you tell when mechinal fuel pump fails?

The first thing you may notice is the engine will become hard to start. You may also notice gasoline mixed with the oil as the diaphragm in the pump may have a hole in it allowing fuel to enter the engine oil pan. Eventually the engine will not run at all from lack of fuel when the pump fails completely. You can test the pump by removing it and pushing the lever on the pump all the way in, then put your finger over the inlet and release the lever. If the diaphragm is busted the lever will move back. If the lever holds steady as long as you have the inlet plugged the pump is good.

What happens when the oil pump fails on ford focus tddi?

does the tddi have an oil pump? -oil pump is internal within the engine. oil pump failure would make the oil pressure light come on and tell you to stop the car before the engine seizes completely. the most common reason for oil pressure failure is big end bearings becoming worn allowing oil to pass through which makes the oil pump struggle like hell, take the sump off and have a proper look, clean out all oil ways, check bearings. if bearings are worn its likely that you'll end up changing the entire block or scrapping the car.
