Euphemism is a tricky word because even though it starts with a vowel, it doesn't sound like it starts with a vowel. So in this case, even though technically "an," would seem correct, "a" is actually what you should use. Because the "e" in euphemism doesn't sound like a vowel, it would sound strange to use "an."
