The reason why they start saying he was Andre's son was because Big Show is the next wrestler similar to Andre they both had a growth disease which is a disease where your body won't stop growing and you need surgery to fix it. Big Show had the surgery in the early 90s but I don't think Andre got it.

∙ 10y agoNo. In real life Big Show is not Andre the Giant's son. But, when he made his professional Wrestling debut, he was billed as the son of the great Andre the Giant. They did that because big show too was a giant like Andre however they weren't related in real life. The storyline was created by the WCW when big show made his debut in 1994 but they dropped that story very soon.
