It depends what they are doing to the animal like giving it drugs.
Alternate answer:
In many if not most cases, yes, animal testing is bad for the animal. As a matter of fact, most animals used for testing purposes are euthanized (killed) either during or after they are experimented on or tested.
Depends on whether you're the animal being tested on, or the human that benefits from the testing.
As a human, and a beneficiary of such testing, I think it's a good thing. However, other humans consider it animal cruelty, and are opposed to it, no matter how much it benefits humans. Though I disagree, I can certainly understand their point. However, what I cannot understand is why anyone would think that animals have "rights". To have rights, you must be capable of respecting the same rights of others. Animals do not respect the rights of humans (they steal our food; they trespass on our land; they attack humans routinely, and sometimes kill humans). If they cannot respect the rights of others, then they are undeserving of rights themselves.
bad because there hurting animals
In my opinion, no. But that's just me.
You find out if something is safe or not and you find out the effectiveness of something. But animal experimentation is not fool proof and sometimes all the hard work of testing is usless. I think that we should stop animal experimentation and stick with good old natural things instead of trying to find out if chemicals are safe.
Rabbits, as well as Rats, and Mice are the most common animal experimentation victims.
50 to 100 million animals die worldwide everyday because of animal experimentation.

use of non-human animals in scientific experimentation
we experiment with animals to LEARN MORE ABOUT THEM then we have a fair knowledge about the animal(s).
well all i know is that dogs get experimented on
Experimentation is a good way to test a hypothesis.
