Is answering these questions your hobby?

I really don't know yet. I just started a few days ago. However, if what I contribute is of benefit to others, then I feel it would be worth the effort. This is one of the reasons I became a college professor. I love sharing information with others especially when it helps them grow. Now, this is not to say, I myself am above being taught. I learn from my students as much as they learn from me. Answer I am fairly busy, but enjoy getting on the site on off-times (could be day or late evening) and also you learn much from the answers to questions. We learn from the young and the old. Knowledge is everything! Ummm... why do you want to know? lol Yes and no. I was always curious as a child (not a bookworm) but hungry for knowledge. I am most thankful to everyone (people I knew or total strangers) who helped me know and/or understand everything I know to this day and I hope somebody will help me find the answers to any questions I may have in the future. I also believe that knowledge never does anybody any harm. I'm happy to be a human being (even though I have far too many faults) and I believe in communicating with others and helping my peers in everything I can. I'm a teacher too and you know what they say... "Once a teacher, always a teacher!" But do not get me wrong. I did my best to help my students, not patronize them nor anybody else. Finally, I'm retired and have many hobbies, Surfing the www being one of them and I believe this web site is offering a great service. Like I tell my daughter, knowledge is power. The lack of the same is stupidity. Some people have more experiences than others and this makes them "street smart". This makes no one person dumber than another, but it makes the group smarter because of collected experiences of the people in the group. If I grew up on a farm and I have knowledge of growing plants, I have a gift to tell and teach people hoe to grow plants. If I am a CEO of a company, I may have information to teach someone to run a similar company. This is a hobby. I live to learn. If any smallest tid-bit of information that I know will educate, enlighten, or even save someone from doing something dangerous or just absolutely just wrong, it may save them some time and may teach them how to do it correctly. A hobby, maybe. An inspiration, a possibility. A goal in life, DEFINATELY!! As a former paramedic we had a motto. "If you are prepared for everything, nothing is an emergency." Among other things, yes.
