Best Answer

Yes. A wand is a stick.

A Pagan Perspective

A wand is a tool, used by practitioners of magic to focus and direct energies they have raised for a specific purpose.

The type of wood, metal, and/or crystals used in the wand will help determine the best "type" of magic it can be used for. This is why many practitioners have more than one wand.

In the universe of Harry Potter, the Elder Wand is a real wand, and is one of the Deathly Hallows.

It is an extremely powerful wand that supposedly is the most powerful wand in existence, and when used by its true master, he or she cannot be defeated in a duel. It will not allow itself to cause real harm to its true master, and will only fully work for the new user if they directly disarm, stun or kill (even in Muggle fashion) the previous master.

Rowling has stated that the wand is brutal in its choice of master, and that, whilst most wands have some allegiance to their own masters, the Elder Wand only responds to power. If a master dies naturally without ever being defeated, the wand's power will die for any following owner, since it was never won from the former.

It is a fictional story. The main characters, magic, several places (such as Hogwarts and Hogsmeade), as well as many of the fantastic creatures, are fictional. Some places are real; for example London. Some characters are based on real characters, for example Nicolas Flamel.

I wouldn't recommend putting your replica in any kind of liquid, because replicas are meant to be treasures like a object to look at not play with.

When you get the wands Harry Potter?

Note that Harry Potter is a fictitious story. Young wizards typically buy their first wands at a specialist shop (like Ollivander's) around the age of 11 right before they first head off to a school like Hogwarts. (I suspect that they are home-schooled before that time to learn things like calculations (with sickles, knuts, etc) and things like house chores) This is the wand they will have for their entire life. They will only get another wand when the one they have is seriously damaged or stolen.

Who does Harry Potter like in Harry Potter 6?

Does Harry Potter like Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger better?

It is suggested in the books that the wands themselves do not differ in power, but the power lies with the wizard or witch controlling them. It is known though that Hermione's wand does not work as well when Harry is controlling it, this also applies to Hermione if she uses Harry's wand. This is known to be the same for all wands as a wand will only work perfectly when their chosen master is controlling them.
