The Army Knowledge portal is the largest intranet in the world. The purpose of the Army Knowledge Portal is to provide enterprise information on the web to Department of Defense and United States Army consumers.
There is no more mandatory enlistment. It was removed by the "Bundestag" in 2011.
Army Knowledge Online is not limited solely to this currently serving in the Army, but it does require some kind of association with the Army. A person must have some kind of business to conduct with the Army and have an Army sponsor.
