Artificial light is light that humans make it and there is a off switch to it. For example lamps, flashlights, car light and street lights are all different types of Artificial light. Natural light is light that comes from mother nature and there is no off switch to it only mother nature can turn it off. For example sun, moon, stars and rainbows are all different types of Natural light.
Some plant varieties do very well growing in artificial fluorescent lighting for instance; Gloxinias, African violets, kolenchos and others. Even tomatoes grow in artificial light if you place the lights at the proper height.
One advantage is with natural lighting you are limited to a certain amount of daylight per day and there's the days that are cloudy, you don't have any light for your poor plants. There are of course there are those varieties that require growing outside in full sunlight.
Actually, storing it in a dark, cool area is best because both natural and artificial light will dissipate the pungent flavors.
Artificial light is not always as good as natural sunlight. There are a few types of natural sunlight bulbs that come close, only they are still missing several wavelengths that are found in natural light. These wavelengths are necessary for plant growth and vitamin D production in animals.
Sunlight contains all the frequencies of light required by the plant for photosynthesis; where as artificial light sources sometimes do not cover all parts of the spectrum.
that would depend on your goal
It depends what you mean by better. They will grow more naturally in sunlight but can be forced artificially with lights and may produce more and be grown out of season. I would say natural is better but then we have a world to feed.
Artificial lighting is an imitation of nature. Fish are born to live in natural habitats thus anything natural is best for them.
The resolution of an optical microscope is not better (or worse) when using natural light. Resolution is determined by the numerical aperture (NA) of the objective. Why a vacuum in an electron microscope? The molecules that make up air would scatter the electrons in the electron beam
Direct sunlight is better than artificial sunlight for a number of reasons. One of the major reasons is because natural sunlight provides the body with much needed vitamin D.
No. Heat conduction has little to do with color.
Emergence from non-chemical processes and structure in conformity with Mother Nature are reasons why natural fertilizer is better than artificial or laboratory fertilizers. Natural fertilizer generally falls into one of three categories: mixture of compost and manure, production through composting, or result of waste elimination. Environmental contamination therefore will not be an after-effect or side-effect of natural fertilizers whereas it does happen with artificial and laboratory fertilizer use.
Depends on the country but usually means they are flavors derived from natural chemicals (natural flavor) or artificial man made chemicals (artificial flavors). A natural flavor MAY be healthier but it MAY also be unhealthier than artificial flavors. Depending on the country some natural flavors may be a mix of artificial and natural chemicals. In fact, an orange natural flavor will most likely be a mixture of chemicals tat have no relation whatsoever to an orange, or possibly not even a fruit. As such it is a complete secret what the chemicals are and you are better avoiding natural and artificial chemicals altogether.
Is clored artifical light different than clear artifical light?
