Holiest city in Judaism and Christianity?

Jerusalem is considered the holiest city not only in Judaism and Christianity but also in Islam. It is believed that prophet Solomon built his temple (that was destroyed later on by the Romans) in Jerusalem. However, the city of Jerusalem is also central to Christianity where prophet Jesus was living. It is also central for Muslims as it was the first direction that they face during prayers and prophet Muhammad was raised to the Heavens (during the miracle of Israa and Mii'raaj) from Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa located in Jerusalem and returned back on the same night.

What is the difference between Masjid and Jamea?

Masjid can be used for Islam in much the same way "Church" can be used in Christianity. It refers to a small or moderately-sized religious building that can accommodate a community. Jamea is the Islamic equivalent of a Cathedral and these exist only in large cities where thousands of worshipers may converge on one location.

Can we pray between different Mazhab?

if you are talking about the Islamic religoun, i think you could. if you live in the united states regardless of the religious sector you claim to be, we all pray in the same Masjid (Hanbali, Whabi, Hanafi, zaydi, or Shei'a). regardless of the minor differences the bases of prayer and how we pray is the same. Islam is just Islam, there should be no mazhab in Islam. (i personaly don't think there is a masjid just for Hanfi mazhab, or somthing like that, at least in the state) :) hope i helped

Why is the kabah inside the sacred mosque in mecca?

Kaba is a cube shaped room /masjid, yes the Big Black Box that you see in pictures. It empty from inside. "Cube" is derieved from the "Kaaba" meaning having four corners. It has been proved to be in the exact center of the world. It is believed to be the First Masjid/Holy house built in the world by Angels for Adam and Eve. Most of the Prophets have visited this Holy site in their lifetimes, except Jesus. He would visit it when he would return to this world. Jesus would also pray there and after ruling in this world for quite some time, would die and be buried in Madinah. Abraham and his son Ismael rebuilt this masjid after long time when it was destroyed by floods may be during the times of Noah. Since Kaba is a very Holy masjid and can not accomodate millions of Muslims at all times, the area around it has been turned in to a Masjid itself so huge numbers of Muslims can pray at the same time.
