No, they bark just like other dogs, except for the Siberian Huskie they do howl.
Depends what type of dog it is. The Basenji is the only dog that can not bark it can howl but not growl or bark. They like to call it the barkless dog, but if you watch it howl most people will get comfused and call it a bark.
howl, or bark

Wolves hardly bark. They howl most of the time.
They are dogs. Like all dogs, it is a natural, or inate, behavior amongst our canid friends (By SammytheHusky) Huskies do not "love" to howl, but they howl instead of bark because they are more related to wolves than other breeds. WOLVES DO NOT BARK, but Siberian Huskies sometimes bark, even though Huskies usually howl.
dingoes like to howl (so they dont bark) and they have good sense of smell.
The cry of an Wolf is 'HOWL'.
The Basenji(they can only howl)
Dingos don't bark. They make a sort of sneezing/snorting sound, which is their bark, though they sometimes cross it with a growl, which sounds like a bark. They also howl, whimper, whine, etc.
They Mostly make a kinda howl or a high pitch bark but more like yelping
From experience, my dachshund and others I know don't howl. Beagles often do, but dachshunds usually just bark.
