I used to have a horse that loved red wine. This horse did not particually get drunk,,, just adicted. But just in case i would not recomending giving your horse wine/beer/spirits before riding.!!!!!
not necessarily but i is not a good idea to give it to thm it ruins their metablism much quicker than natural aging i knew a horse that got a cn of beer after each race. he wuz an excellent racer never drunk alchohol before a race
Yes they can. Horse owners have been mixing beer with horse food for centuries. It's called a bran MASH and horses love it. The darker and hoppier the beer, the better. Lager probably would make them sick, but then lager is horrible. Horses like proper, dark, English ale.
[The below is a different author I do NOT give my horses beer.]
Yes owners have been giving beer to horses for a very long time. Mainly it was due to 'health benefits' associated with it. Many people believe that it helps to 'cure' colic by producing gas. The Yeast cultures, barley and hops are what give the benefits and can be found and fed without using beer, horses do not need alcohol. As for the Bran Mash, they can be made with anything, not just beer and the bran itself was originally thought to work as a laxative, but this has been proven incorrect. Bottom line, beer won't hurt the horses, but why bother spending the extra money on it when you can find yeast, barley and hops from other sources.
No. Beer is not a normal drink for a horse.
Beer contains alcohol and carbonation, since horses cannot throw up this can put too much pressure in the stomach and can do damage. Beer is not found in the wild and is NOT a normal diet for a horse. Many horses die every month and the cause is varied. Since there is no Scientific study on this matter, it is NOT suggested that you try and experiment on your horse when you horse ends up paying for your poor decisions.
Horses cannot get druck from eating apples anymore than people can. However, if a horse eats too many apples they can colic because the apples will ferment and create gas. Horses cannot burp or vomit so the gas will build in the stomach and intestines and cause gas colic which is very painful and sometimes fatal.
Wrong is not the word. There are horses that like the flavor of spirits and beer. Too much can be harmful. Limit the intake and don`t let them drive.
No it is not 'good' for them, however in small amounts it will not cause any problems.
No,it is not safe for horses to eat mushrooms and toadstools. This can cause a very bad sickness dissease for horses and a deadly death.
no. worms are parasites that come from the grass and larvae and eggs that horses ingest. they grow in the stomach and intestines and are passed in the feces and then are reingested as the horse eats more grass. sugar is bad for horses for the same reason it is bad for people.
No, yogurt is very bad it can make them very sick as horses are herbivores, accustomed to eating grass and hay.
Hard rocky soil.
i think what you are askingis if they can throw up, and the answer is no. horses get what is called colic becauses of this. colic is basicly a bad stomacch, that can be deadly if not taken care of, i horses might roll if the are colicing, do not let them walk them.
Pizza is not bad for horses, however, there are much cheaper ways of feeding horses.
Horses should keep away from Bad Carrots.
Alcohol.
No, walnuts are bad for horses and can kill them if the horses eat them.
No, the story is that if you drink fermented horses milk (14% alcohol) it helps you get over drinking vodka (30% alcohol). Or just drink less vodka.
