Is being gay a crime in Turkey?
No. There are openly gay people. Turkey is more tolerant than
most Muslim nations.
It is not a crime but it is somewhat dangerous. Homosexuality
and sex change is possible and legal but majority of the public is
Muslim and according to Islam; homosexuality is a very big sin.
Openly gay people in Turkey are usually kicked out by their
parents. Some of them are even murdered. Because of that; gay
people usually end up on the street as prostitutes.
