Regular male reindeer lose their antlers in the fall, and regular female reindeer keep their antlers year around.Santa's reindeer have magical powers. Just as Santa's sleigh has rapid time warp abilities which allow him to travel at incredible speeds around the world on Christmas Eve, our male reindeer leading Santa's sleigh keep their antlers in the winter. This allows them key abilities of which they rely on. For example, the reindeer leading Santa's sleigh must use their antlers as a kind of sonic antenna if you will. This allows them to keep in constant touch with our communications centre at the North Pole. If and when any Christmas magic is required on our end - the reindeer's antlers help us receive the required message. We can also note the progress of their world wide journey via antlergram communications.Hope I'm not giving too many of our secrets away...I'm the chatty elf after a night of too much egg nog. We elves love the stuff! To summarize, Santa's reindeer are all magic......so the typical antler variations do not apply to them. I can assure you that Rudolph is indeed male - and so is Blitzen.Rudolph is heading up a few new reindeer games right now in our Barn 2 arena and practice ring as the reindeer leading Santa's sleigh this Christmas finish their winter training. They're ready for the big night...which reminds me to throw some extra hay in the troughs with the left over vegetables from Santa's lunch time stew. They'll enjoy that.Lots more to do to get ready. We work in all time zones.Sincerely Yours,

Season's Greetings, and Merry Christmas!

Remember to be good - we're very serious here about that - no matter how old you are
