No. The blower motor is the motor that turns the fan that blows the air through the vents inside your vehicle whether its blowing for the ac or the heater.
The blower motor RESISTOR controls the speed in which your blower motor turns. The resistor will be located either in the engine compartment, usually in the firewall ( the metal wall separating your engine from your cab).
In newer vehicles the resistor is located behind the glove box inside your cab.
The resistor is mounted with two bolts/screws and has a wire connecting box plug with 5 connectors. The connectors on the resistor are male and the connecting plug has female plugs.
The resistor is VERY easy to replace even for beginners and is very affordable. The one I just changed was $17.00. It was located in the firewall and took me less than 5 minutes to replace.
Hope this helps! Stay cool!

A malfunctioning blower motor resistor will cause the blower motor not to work. When the resistor is bad the blower motors will not turn on.
The a/c heater blower motor resister is located in the vehicle on the passengers side inside the housing next to the blower motor...............Remove the blower motor resistor wire harness connector.Remove the blower motor resistor screws.Remove the blower motor resistor.
Resistor is a separate unit from the blower motor
Generally the blower motor resistor is found close to the blower motor. It relies on the blower motor to keep it cool.

The 1991 Honda accord blower motor resistor is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The blower motor resistor will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The blower motor fan cools the resistor so the resistor is usually located close to the blower.
You will need to change the blower motor resistor by finding it near the air duct system. You will take the old resistor off and replace it the same way.
In general, the blower motor resistor is located close to the blower motor.
