Indeed, Google has a feature called Google Books. Google has been scanning in old, out-of-print books for years with the goal of having every book ever written in the world in their library. Many books, of course, are current and may be purchased through Google. If not, Google links you to places where you can buy them. You can frequently get them digitally; and, if not, then in hard copy.

Books not under copyright are free at no cost and can be easily downloaded in multiple different formats.

This is a fabulous product and service that Google provides.
