Yes, sometimes your blood will be bright red and other times it will be more of a brown colour. It is also completely normal to have pain, especially of the cramp sort. Don't worry if you are having pain just try to relax or sometimes exercise helps. If the pain is excessive then it may be a good idea to speak to your doctor but otherwise don't worry.
