No! Bupropion is generic Wellbutrin, an antidepressant. It is recommended for people who do not respond to the SSRI antidepressants but not for people with anxiety.

Benzodiazepines include Valium (diazepam generic), Xanax (alprazolam generic), Ativan (lorazepam generic) and Klonopin (clonazepam generic). These are all controlled substances used to treat anxiety. They are excellent medications when correctly used but they are physically addictive. Be careful! Don't confuse your meds!
