i don't know how anyone would ever really be able to answer that question for certain. However, i thought they named it God's plant because it takes approximately 9 months for the plant to develop, naturally. and i also believe that there is no other plant like it- for it contributions and effects. nothing can substitute itThen the Lord said to Moses, "Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of qaneh-bosm, 500 shekels of cassia--all according to the sanctuary shekel--and a hind of olive oil. Make these into a sacred anointing oil" (Exodus 30: 22-33).

In 1980 the Hebrew University in Israel confirmed Sula Benet's interpretation of Kaneh Bosm (kineboisin) as hemp blossoms.
