No less then 20% of the worlds men are circumcised. This is a religious and cultural activity. there is no reasonable reason to have it done and should be seen as genital mutilation.
Circumcision is when you remove skin from genitalia. On the men the foreskin and on the women parts of the vulva or all of it. Female circumcision isn't called circumcision anymore but female mutilation since that is what it is. It's more extensive then it is on men and more damaging. It is possible, but extremely rare. Less then .01% of men of men who undergo circumcision die. However the mortality rate as a result of circumcision in the USA is slightly higher then that of SIDS
Circumcision is not necessary for all individuals because it is not medically required for good health. It is a personal and cultural choice that some people make for various reasons, but it is not essential for everyone.
In fact the incidence of problems with the foreskin (Prepuce) where circumcision is required is extremely rare.
The vast majority of men in the world are not circumcised. Circumcision is practiced in Judaism and Islam. It is also sometimes practiced in certain cultures, specifically the United States. The vast majority of Italian men are Roman Catholic, and according to the Christian religion circumcision is not required at all. not Jewish or Muslim, therefore they are not circumcised. in some country's it is done as a cultural right of passage into manhood rite. and in English speaking cultures it was introduced for unfounded medical reasons which turned into a cultural practice. There is no reason that is associated with health that indicates circumcision.
no, not all tribes perform circumcision
If any foreskin remains, it's a partial circumcision.
YES! Circumcision among Jewish males is nearly universal and is a Torah-precept (Genesis ch.17).
Circumcision is very rarely practiced in Holland. Probably less than 1% of the men in Holland are circumcised. Of those that are nearly all are Muslims or Jews. who have taken the practice of male genital mutilation with them from the middle east.
Good question. Some men may not even think about that.
It isn't important at all on the contrary circumcision causes reduced sensitivity which cause some men to have to give up before ejaculating. it also causes vaginal dryness problems discouraging the female partner.
Circumcision is the amputation or removal if you like oft he prepuce or foreskin which covers the glans penis in normal intact men.
