I appears to be a chat site where people are randomly matched together, scrambled around from all over the world. Someone took me for a bot. In the interest of internet safety users give all sorts of random answers. It may be partially automated, or is scans for users. There is always someone there.

No one really knows if Cleverbot is a fake. There are predictions that it actually connects users with other users, like it is one huge anonymous chat-room. Since "Cleverbot" changes the subject so much, it really means the user you have been talking to changes.Obviously, these rumors are unconfirmed (so if you find out otherwise, I'm not just spouting lies :D). Otherwise, Cleverbot would be taken off the Internet. It's just a funny site with no viruses. Cleverbot can seem inappropriate or threatening, but as long as you do not disclose any private information (in case there is an actual user on the receiving end), it is absolutely harmless.
