Coheed and Cambria is not considered a religious band. As they are, however, a concept band, there is a long and very detailed story named The Amory Wars that connects all of their albums. The Amory Wars tells the story of an intergalactic system that theoretically existed many thousands of years ago. Within this galaxy is an epic tale of love, loss, vendetta, and power struggles. As every epic must have a creation tale, so too does this one in the form of an all-encompassing God who created everything, as well as a messianic figure named the Crowing whose purpose is to deliver God's judgment.
