There is currently no cure for Crohn's, but it is treatable. See the related link for more information.

Actually it is but most Doctors do not have the answer other than giving you crap meds...I beat it and have not had a relaspe in 20 years!...First take natural vitamin E...that's the d-alpha...then get a high quality multi-vitamin mineral supplement...then get ester C ...the C and E should be 1000 milligrams twice a day!....Also the same with the multi twice a day) that's for starters....then pray to the good Lord ...laugh now but it worked for me!...and by the good Lord I mean Jesus not anything else....going on drink 2 quarts of fresh water a day if not more I always have a container of water with me....Since I have been healed since 1990 I can eat the 'hottest' hot sauces on the planet eat anything I want and drink any alcohol I want!......so if you don't believe me move on .....just saying I know....and am living proof....if you say will that work for me?...take it to the bank!...Thx MIke

There is no medical cure, only treatment to abate the symptoms. Sometimes surgery is needed, but it does not cure, it only treats.

I am 13 years old and I have Crohn's and I found out about it when I was 12 when I kept having abdominal pains. It will always be with you for the rest of your life and the only way to help it is to eat the right foods. If you don't you'll get flare-ups. It's up to you to make the right food choices. Not that you can't eat an occasional cupcake or other sweets, but it's all about moderation and keeping total food volume low so your bowel can better digest your foods.

This disorder is often misspelled Chrone's disease, Chrone disease, Chron disease, and any combination of similar spelling. It is often also incorrectly called Chrome Disease.

Crohn's disease is treatable but not curable. Crohn's disease is classified as a chronic illness, meaning that although you can be put into remission, they symptoms of the disease will always come back. However, Crohn's disease can still be treated with a variety of different medications, including Lialda, Prednisone, Remicade, and Immuran.

No, it is not curable. It is treatable through medication and/or surgery, but there is no cure for it. Even resection of the intestine doesn't stop the colitis from reoccurring.
