Actually it is a definitive crime. From throwing trash out your car door, to dumping toxic wastes into rivers. They are all quite illegal and punishable.
Even corporations are not above these laws. There was a silver reclamation company that was tried and convicted of dumping chemicals into water systems. They were tried in 1979 and still in prison.
If you do not believe it is a crime, try dumping some waste oil in front of a policeman. I promise you that you will see the light.
The sad part is the diversion we are getting away from real pollution issues. We are concentrating on foolish CO2 issues and allowing further dumping of real pollutants. The world has to wake up and realize that man ca do nothing about natural issues like warming and we have complete control over the dumping of toxins. It should be a crime to label non pollution issues as pollution.
