Yes it is. Europe measures in Liters, and uses the metric system for all measurements and as far as I know only the U.S. is using a very old system and they refuse to change. The U.K. is half and half and using stones for weight. They use cups and liters and stones. Too bad they can't use just one system to provide less confusion for people.
