Dahi Vada is a favourite of many people.I got the recipe of Dahi Vada from motherszone.com.Ingredients:Dhuli Urad Ki Daal - 1 cup (Soaked 5-6 hours and grounded to a paste)Yogurt (Beaten, Smoothened) - 2 ½ cupsRoasted and Powdered Cumin Seeds - 2 tspChopped Coriander Leaves - 2 tbspKali Mirch - 1/4 tspChilli Powder - 1/2 tspKala Namak - 1 tspChaat Masala (for garnishing)Mint Chutney - 2 tbspTamarind Chutney - 2 tbspSalt - 2 tspOil for fryingMethod:Mix and beat the daal paste thoroughly.Heat oil in a pan and make vadas from the daal paste.Fry the vadas in hot oil on medium heat, until they turn golden brown in colour.Once the vadas are made one by one, take them out of the frying pan and put into a separate pan or bowl containing salted water.Put salt, cumin seeds, coriander leaves and black pepper into the yogurt and mix them well.Take out the fried bhallas from the pan or bowl and arrange them on a serving dish.Pour the yogurt over the bhallas and add tamarind chutney, mint chutney, chilli powder, kala namak and chaat masala to the dish.
