Oh yeah it is. Dancing provides Cardiovascular exercise (its good for your heart and lungs) as well as training, toning and strengthening your leg and core muscles. If you do hip-hop or certain forms of Ballet, you'll train your upper body too.

Even if you just go out and buy DDR, half an hour of dancing a day is some of the best exercise you can do. I started dancing routinely five days ago and already dropped a pant size (I also changed my diet though.) Keep all that in mind

Yes, it's great excercise! You can burn off tons of calories! It also strengthens your muscles and core. Plus.. it's tons of fun! :)
