Oh yeah it is. Dancing provides Cardiovascular exercise (its good for your heart and lungs) as well as training, toning and strengthening your leg and core muscles. If you do hip-hop or certain forms of Ballet, you'll train your upper body too.

Even if you just go out and buy DDR, half an hour of dancing a day is some of the best exercise you can do. I started dancing routinely five days ago and already dropped a pant size (I also changed my diet though.) Keep all that in mind
