According to The Bible any form of magic including:
Numerology
Diviniation
Psychi Readings
Casting Spells/Enchantments/Incantations
Cursing (even if its as simple as telling someone to "go to Hell")
And much, much more are all sins garaunteeing the practitioner a one way ticket to hell.
Since all magic is, in essence a "dark art" (despite what the wiccans and neo-pagans claim) its all a sin.
BUT that's only the Bible's perspective. And, to be fair, one very strictly literal interpretation. The argument over what constitutes magic and when that magic becomes a sin has been debated by serious theologians for a very long time.
Some theologians would go so far as to say that asking for ANYTHING while in prayer was a form of magic, since it implies you know better than God what you should get or what you need. But again, that's extreme.
So, really... magic, or the dark arts, really falls into a gray zone. Some would say that there is "white magic" (used to heal and help) and "black magic" (used to curse and destroy), or that as long as its for the good of others its ok, but anything for yourself its evil... there is really no end to the argument.
The best thing you can do is take some time to seriously think about it for yourself, if necessary, ask a priest or reverend if some particular act was a sin, and go on with your life. In generally, I can tell you Christianity/Catholocism and Magic don't mix, so you may have to pick which one you believe and if you're willing to pay the price for being wrong.

The Dark Romantics believed similar things as puritans and romantics but they also saw the dark side of things like sin and also the beautiful things in life.
Dark religious paintings in art history hold significant importance as they often reflect themes of spirituality and mortality. These paintings typically depict somber or macabre scenes, emphasizing the darker aspects of religious beliefs such as sin, death, and judgment. Through their portrayal of these themes, dark religious paintings serve as a reminder of the transient nature of life and the inevitability of death, prompting viewers to contemplate their own mortality and spiritual beliefs.
