I after just being placed on probation was a nervous wreck with the same question. Every state is different and it also will depend on if the probation was for a traffic offense in the first place. Assuming it was not you shouldbeall set. Here's the deal if you are on supervised probation you MUST report it to your probation officer because in your monthy review it asks "Have you had any police contact?" if you do not report the ticket you are falsifying this document and then can be violated. In I have spoken with several probation supervisors in RI that state MINOR traffic offenses are not grounds for revocation and need not be reported if on unsupervised probation. Hope this helps.
Anything one does that can be determined illegal will most likely be a violation of probation. Probation is a test period to make certain, with supervision, that you can do what is right and not continue doing stuff wrong, which is why one is on probation in the first place.
Yes i have been charged with it recently. havent been to court yet hopeing for the best.
Added: If you are released on probation ANY violation of normal rules, regulations, and laws can result in a VOP.
Depends on the offense and the conditions of your probation. Best consult your PO.
NO, but if because of it, you must find new lioving accomodations, you had best be contacting your PO quickly.
In philadel
Yes it is. A condition of probation will require the probationer to obey all the laws. Driving a vehicle with a suspended license is an offense, and could subject the probationer to having his/her probation revoked or modified.
You will be charged with driving while your license is suspended. Whether or not you're on probation doesn't effect this particular offense. If you were on probation, driving with a suspended license is probably a violation of your probation, and a whole different issue.
Yes
No, you will get a hefty fine and they can take the car. If your license was suspended for drinking you may face more legal action.
Driving without a license will be a violation of probation. It will possibly be jail time, but it was ultimately up to the judge as to the punishment.
It is impossible to tell what is in the mind of the judge when he sentences VOP's. If you are habitualized and continue to offend, there is a good chance that you will be remanded to jail to serve the remainder of your original sentence.
up to 364 days in jail and 2 years probation with a $2500 fine
At trial, you can offer as a defense the issuance of the new license three months after the suspension. That may serve to show your belief that your license was valid at the time of the first suspended license violation. The second suspended license charge will be tougher to fight, as you had to know from the first ticket that your license was suspended.
Nothing - Unless you are operating in violation of DMV restrictions (suspended or revoked) or are actively wanted on an open warrant) your probation status will be unknown to the officer.
Your driver's license will not be suspended in Pennsylvania if you have a suspended registration. A driver's license can be suspended for driving without insurance or if you get a DUI.
Driving on a suspended license when your license was suspended due to a DUI.
Depends on what one is 'on probation' for. If it was a DUI offense, a drivers license might be suspended for a specified period (depending on the state) and possibly up to 3 years . If the person is not on a DUI probation, and has met all the requirements of the probation order, one would think they can progress in life and get the license. Would possibly advise that you be asking your probation officer this question, too.
