No because droid is a type of model and android is the company of the type of phone.
yes, they are the same thing. Droid is just the shortened way of saying android. and personally i think its more catchy! Also droid is a specific line of android phone the name being trademarked by george lucas.
Droid is a shortening of Android. Droid is labeled with many phones. [Ex: Droid Incredible] Android is used for the operating system that is compatible with the phone.
They are practically the same thing, though the Droid doesn't have iTunes music or the same apps.easier to root android than jailbreak iPhone. Harder to detect root android than jailbreak iPhone.
no! they are two completely diffrent phones. the windows phone is like haiving a laptop with you at all times and the droid is a phone that is great for just about everything. i love my droid!
So the "droid" phones are running an operating system called android. Both the Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid Incredible (I assume you are talking about these two) run android. The difference (aside from physical features) is that HTC has added another interface on top of the regular android called "HTC Sense". It is still running android it just has extra features, widgets, and different styled menus than the original android system. The Moto Droid runs just android for the most part. There are some tweaks that Motorola did but thing too crazy. The Droid 2, X, and Pro all have a "NinjaBlur" interface.
Droid is a term that is branded to Verizon. They have had many Droid phones. All of them operate on the Google Android system. There are many Android phones that are not branded as Droid. Hope this helps.
No. They are two different cell phones.
Droids are one line of phones. Android is the software powering the phone. All droids have Android software. But not all Android powered phones are Droids.
The name droid came from it's software Android 2.0 or Android OS. Motorola thinks this may be the most Droid-like phone due to it's software, therefore they named it the droid.
