Yes there is a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. What you need to do for this form of degeneration is simply get alot of protein in your diet on a daily basis, and workout on a daily basis. Always start very small with your workouts and then when your body is strong enough gradually increase the intensity in order to build more muscle. Rest and multi vitamins of all sorts are also needed. A great source of protein would be in eggs and whey protein and casein protein. I am speaking with my personal experience with muscular dystrophy. This diet is for all forms of MD.

  • Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is the most common lethal genetic disease of children worldwide.
  • DMD is a progressive weakening defect of all the muscles in the body, including the heart, and primarily occurs in boys.
  • There is no cure, though significant progress is being made by researchers.
Approx. 1 in every 2,400 boys worldwide is born with DMD. left untreated, the natural lifespan is about 16 - 19 years, but, with good support, many are living into their 30s, 40s, and sometimes even longer.
In about 60% of the cases, DMD is inherited from the mother; in about 40% of the cases the disease is the result of spontaneous gene mutation, meaning anyone's son could be born with DMD.
  • Female carriers may have mild symptoms or none at all, but should be watched for heart complications.
