Not sure how but some man that is looking to set a world record has eaten a handful of nails multiple times. He has also eates light bulbs and newspaper and many other unbelievable things. He is known as "The Man Who Can Eat Anything".
Yes, since this can cause infections in the nail bed as bacteria in your saliva gets under the edge of the nail.
Also, this often makes your nails look bad, although that's more of a personal concern rather than a health concern.
finger/toe nails will most likely pass through your intestinal system. However steel/iron nails will most likely get stuck in your in stomach, esophagus, etc and will have to probably be surgically removed. It may pass through, but is most definitely not safe.
I think it is something our 'instinct' wants to do, & thus it is perhaps something that provides us with what our being sometimes needs... somehow it has something in there for us, for protein, maybe... even though most sites (on the internet) declare how dirty it is...Well, maybe, but straight after a shower it's probably cleaner than food at a restaurant!
I am not a scientist, but a pretty intelligent, rounded person at my best...
Yes.You bite your nails and your nails are just dead chemicals and skin that grow on your fingers as nails.
Why does anybody chew their nails? Maybe he/ she is nervous.
put tape on them or chew gum
Is it bad for a baby to chew on a pacifier?
AnswerWhen you bite your nails, normally you would not bite off the nail and then swallow it. Biting your nails is a habit that a lot of people have, including me. It can be harmful to your teeth and nails, but no this would not be considered eating yourself. Don't worry, your not a cannibal. Also if you chew your nails you can rip off skin. That happened to me last night I have not chew my nails since
Chew gum and keep on hand lotion.
if you are worried about something or have not had much to eat or work your teeth on then you often bite my nails, at least that's what i think.
Chewing the lip is a bad habit just like biting the nails. You just have to substitute the habit gradually. You might chew gum so instead of chewing the lips you chew the gum.it just has to be gradual don't be too anxious
If you are angry enough to bite nails, you could either be biting your own fingernails or biting iron nails -- either way, you are gnashing your teeth in anger.
yes! It adds nutrition to your nails and support for growth. just make sure not to chew or bite your nails while you have it on.
