If you believe it was then yes. It's all a matter of faith - some people have faith others don't. Some people don't believe in God and think The Bible was written by men in the 4th - 10th centuaries to promote their own purposes. Another view: Every book in the Bible is inspired by God. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture isgiven by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. This is old and New Testament, and the purpose for the inspired by God scripture is given in these verse. The best way to determine that for yourself is to study the scriptures for yourself, this truth will be made self-evident to you, if you come to the scripture, seeking to know the truth. 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If we are to take the Bible very seriously, we also need to realize that its claims conflict with other works that many people claim to be inspired as well. For example, the Upanishads, which are part of the Hindu scriptures, teach that the world is God. Also the Tripitaka, the sacred writings of Buddhism, prescribes morality, meditation, and wisdom as solutions to suffering. The Bible points to Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross as the only real answer to man's deepest problems including suffering. And while the Bible centers on Christ's death and resurrection, the Koran for example denies Christ's crucifixion. The Bible clearly stands at odds with the sacred writings of the world's religions. And while it's logically acceptable for someone to believe that one of the writings is inspired, it makes absolutely no sense at all to believe they are all inspired, since their claims and statements are in many cases mutually exclusive. If we are to regard the Bible as being truly inspired by God, we can only conclude that He had no hand whatsoever in these other writings. To profess otherwise is to mischaracterize God as someone who Himself is full of contradictions and inconsistencies. The Bible alone gives us the answer for living successfully in this life and the one to come. The Bible says "These things are written that you may know that you have eternal life". The Bible is the only answer and the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

For the Bible to be inspired by God, it ought to be inerrant and without contradictions since God can surely not make any errors. Yet throughout the Bible and in almost every book, there are clear and identifiable errors, whether historical or scientific. There are numerous doublets and biblical contradictions that point to multiple authors writing according to the context and needs of their own times, and not writing perfect copies of God's word. some books of the Bible, such as Daniel and Esther are even regarded by scholars as early Jewish novels. The Bible was the work of mortal men, writing for their times and the inspiration comes from men, not God.

What would be different if the Bible were not inspired?

If the Bible is inspired - then that's how it is. We believe it is inspired - none of the authors have said that they were inspired - that came later, and from other people. If the Bible is not inspired, we wouldn't know. So, nothing would be different.... with the actual book itself What "might" be different is how people regard the book. As it is, many people don't believe the bible to be inspired - and some of them disregard the book, others of them just look on it as a book containing incredible wisdom and life-advice.
