It's a little piece of paper with eyeshadow deposited on it. You put the paper against your closed eyelid, rub it, and the makeup transfers to your skin.

Beauty, self reflection, etc. Eyeshadow is a tool to not cover up who you are but to bring you out a little more, you shouldnt have any side effects to eyeshadow, unless you are allergic to some ingredients in them, if this is the case, i wouldnt know the side effects, because peoples reactions are different :)

Personally I've never liked blue eyeshadow and not everyone looks good in it. When you allow your child to start wearing make up is really up to the parents. Blue eyeshadow is more suitable for going out at night and have a more natural look during the day.
A pressed eyeshadow is basically a loose pigment taken out of it's container and "pressed" into a little eyeshadow pan. This is done because loose pigments can be hard to work with- since it is in "loose" form, it can be very messy and a lot of products tend to get wasted.
They were eye black, which isn't exactly eyeshadow.
