No failure is not the key to success. It isn't because when you fail you get nowhere in life. I've never failed in my life before or at least not yet but I have been around people who have and they have been stuck because when you fail it's like you are stuck in a hole and it takes you a while to get out. You should motivate yourself with something that you are interested in. Lets say you have a favorite sport well in school you have to have at least a two point something GPA and if you don't you can't play. Well, if that sport is really important to you you would keep your grades up.
