Not really, because there are Catholics that do not even care about there families, and there are non Catholics that are the same. It doesn't matter if you are Catholic or not, what matters is showing your love and care towards your family. because, first is God and then next is your family.

Roman Catholic AnswerI don't think you can put a measure on this, but it is different. For the Catholic, God is Himself a family: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and we have the example of the Holy Family: St. Joseph, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Our Blessed Lord. So for a Catholic, they are called to model their families both after God, and after the Holy Family. Is it more important or just different? I would argue that it is just a different way of looking at it than a non-Catholic.

Why is Lent not important for Catholics?

Some non-catholic churches do indeed celebrate Lent, such as the Lutherans and Anglicans. One reason they do so is because they see it as a beneficial idea to focus on the central truths of the Christian faith such as the sufferings and death of Jesus. A number of non-catholics also do not celebrate Lent, although they do indeed remember Jesus' suffering and death.

Do Protestants believe it is a sin for Catholics to entertain a non Catholic suitor?

Not at all. If you are a Catholic and have begun a relationship with a non-Catholic that is perfectly acceptable. The only difficulty might be if you marry ad have children. Roman Catholics are rather exclusive, meaning that any children from a marriage of a non-Catholic to a Catholic should be brought up as Catholics. However, to most Christians this is unacceptable, and as long as the children are brought up understanding Christian principles, this is the important thing rather than to what Christian denomination they belong. However just seeing someone who is not a Catholic is certainly not 'sinful' in the eyes of God, despite what some, more fundamental, Catholics might say.
