I'm quite puzzled by your question. Of course most food from these countries should be safe. People in India and Mexico eat it. I live in Canada and eat TONS of imported Mexican products and they are great.

The question, I think, relates to food safety standards. Usually if items are approved for import to North America they have to conform to some standards, but the truth is that food safety standards do vary from country to country. For example, one country might allow a lot more pesticide to be present in products than Another Country. It's pretty complicated, but just as a general rule, you aren't likely to get sick from a can of food from Mexico!
