well when you burn somthing then it is a chemical change but the hot dog isn't a new substance and a physical change is when you break or cut somthing so i think it should be chemical because it is being burned

Frying a hamburger represents a chemical change. The reason for this is that the heat alters the chemical nature of the meat, turning some of it into charred or denatured protein, etc. It it is heated to a high enough temperature, some of the ingredients in the meat may even turn into carbon dioxide and water, a combustion reaction of organic molecules.

When you cook something, two main things are going on. First, the water is being evaporated out. Second, proteins are being denatured. So yes, cooking is a chemical change.

chemical change, because after the meat is cooked you can never return the meat back to red... the change is irreversible, thus it is a chemical change.

It is a chemical change. Heat activates a chemical reaction between the protein and oxygen. The oxygen in the air reacts with the proteins and the chemical bonds are broken.
