It's a matter of opinion. In my personal opinion, gambling isn't in and of itself bad, but it's something that tends to be addictive, so it can lead to problems for many people.

Answer:Well, actually "everything is ok in moderation" is an opinion also. Not EVERYTHING is ok, even in moderation. But there are actual verifiable facts regarding gambling that indicate gambling may be something bad to get into. For instance, in the years since there have been casinos near Memphis, bankruptcy rates have tripled or quadrupled.
