The Mississippi River is not the source of Memphis water. An underground aquifer is. The Memphis Aquifer and the Fort Pillow Aquifer provide the water supply for the city and comes from 350 feet down. It is one of the highest quality water supplies in the Us.

This is a question you would have to ask of your insurance company or responding fire department.
If you are asking because you do not have a fire hydrant within 1000 feet of your home, then your PC rating is almost certainly a 9 (on a scale of 1-10 with 1 as most favorable). The only exception to having a preferred PC rating without a fire hydrant is when your fire district is EXTREMELY well rated. So in this particular situation you are probably a 9, but there are insurance companies that offer affordable coverage even with this rating.

It depends on the day. Today the temperature outside was about 34 when i woke up. However, it is supposed to reach about 60 later today. In a couple months, the temperature will reach well into the 90's and possibly rise above 100. In the winter it can get much lower. The lowest recorded temperature was in 1963-it was -13 degrees. If you want to know how cold it is on a certain day, I suggest checking the weather.
