No
* '''carbon dioxide''' * '''oxygen''' '''this are your two types of gases that help living things'''
No, air is not a living thing. It consists of molecules of gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, which do not have the characteristics of living organisms like growth, reproduction, or metabolism.
The sun is a non-living thing since it's only composed of hydrogen, helium and a few other elements.
every living thing uses gasses, one of the signs of life is respiration (ie gaseous exchange)
Air is considered a non-living thing. It is a mixture of gases like nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and others that are essential for living organisms, but air itself does not have the characteristics of living things such as growth, reproduction, or metabolism.
There is a great gravitational pull which could damage your body, and there are poisonous gases, yet no oxygen.
Greenhouse gases aren't a bad thing without them it would be too cold on Earth for most living things to survive
Oh honey, air may be essential for life, but it's not exactly living itself. It's made up of gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, not cells or organisms. So, while air keeps us alive, it's definitely not out here breathing and living its best life like you and me.
They are non-living as volcanoes do not breathe, eat, reproduce, does not have any cells, does grow but does not develop.
It is a living thing.
A Candle is not a living thing because it does not have the 7 characteristics of living things which are: movemeny, reproduce, grow, excreate, or exchanging gases. it does have one charteristic of a living thing which is respond. it responds to fire because the fire is something called the stimulus which forces the wax on the candle to melt
Yes, in a sense it is. It evolves, changes, and the elements that contribute to it change. If it wasn't living how could pollution effect it? In response to the previous members answer, the Earth is not a living thing. It is a large collection of various rocks, at the centre of which is a large collection of Magma. The earth is not affected by pollution, our atmosphere is. Our atmosphere is the collection of gases which help keep the suns damaging, unfiltered rays out, whilst allowing in it's heat and light energy.
