Gears 2 is better because it has a much better story line with mysterys... Epic games has a better graphic sequese then treyarch (creater cod world at war) and if you get call of duty be prepared to have a ton of points to buy and download maps and updates as a opused to gears 2 which more people play

gears of war 2!!!!!!!Their both great. if u can get both!they're both great but mostly 2 because u have more moves and better blood Id say Gears of war 1 because the multiplayer is much more addicting then other shooters, Gears of war 2 does have good multiplayer but the matchmaking is very clunky, due to bad host advantage, also Gears 2 has a expandable campagin then Gears 1, also Gears 2 has horde mode.But there both checking out.......

* Lots and lots and lots of people played gears of war but now that number 2 is out alot of gears of war 1 players will swap to gears 2 for it is promised to be better and stuff like that =D
