It depends on who you ask. People have differing pain tolerances. Most of the younger patients I put braces on had less trouble getting used to them than the older patients. It may hurt initially for the first few days but normally people get used to the tightness before their first week is up. Keep them cleaned really well though because if you fail to keep them clean you can cause gum problems, bleeding, inflammation, sores and even ulcers that seep pus. for the best flossing tips ask you dentist and also make sure he gives you a bunch of the special tools called Floss Threaders (if he does not have them to give you can buy them at target for under 3 bucks)
Getting them on is not sore at all, just uncomfortable afterwards when they are positioning.
yes it hurts very much
Yes, because your teeth are sore for a few days after getting braces, so naturally it hurts to brush.
There is lots of advice one should know about when getting braces. Perhaps the best place to find out what one should know is by talking to one's dentist. Some general advice with braces is to avoid any food that is sticky, chewy, or hard. One should expect sore teeth for several days after getting braces and having teeth loosen while wearing the braces is normal and expected and they should regain their rigidity again later.
they will feel sore after getting them put on a wee while after it, but not enough that you should stay off school :) just need to watch what you eat so you dont break them.
wax to protect your inner lips. If it is that sore pain from getting braces tightened, there isn't really a way to do anything but wait and take advil or aspirin or whatever painkilling thing.
i don't think getting invisible braces are different from getting normal braces and braces does not hurt when you are getting them but when you got them on for a few hours or so it will kinda hurt
I have braces and the first and second says ur mouth will be sore. The second day is the worst. if you r one of those lucky people who arent as sore then if u want and r feeling fine u could go to school. if u do take some advil or something before.
not at all....they may feel sore for the next couple of days though :) but dont worry, it's not that sore
Niall Horan Is Getting His Braces Off In January(:
They may hurt after you get braces but it depends if you are getting braces on the top or bottom or both. if it does you should use a numbing cream suitable for your mouth. the numbing cream or gel most likely will come in a tube you squeeze out on to your canker sore but if it doesn't come in a tube read directions on how to use the cream or gel.
The braces itself aren't sore, except the first day you get them. Braces aren't "sore" but if you play sports and get by n the mouth it doesn't feel good, if you get hit hard enough, it could make your lip bleed. Tighting doesn't hurt that much, it just feels like pressure on your teeth. So to conclude, I would say braces aren't so bad as everyone explains that they are..... they don't exactly feel wonderful either, you may bleed and yes braces may hurt off and on. Hoped this helped a little bit!!
If you have a sore tooth from braces or separator's. A good idea is to take 1 or 2 pain reliever's.
No getting braces tighten does not hurt it only is uncomfortable but after a hour with your braces they start to hurt.
