No goldfish are not endangered species. They are doing very well and are actually doing too well in some areas. In many regions like Europe and North America the goldfish is an invasive species in rivers, lakes and streams. They don't belong in those bodies of water and eat all the food, leaving nothing for fish that do belong. This kills off the other fish, making some of them endangered or soon to be endangered. Remember never to dump your unwanted goldfish into the wild rivers, streams or lakes.
