Gravity is a property of mass. No mass, no gravity.

But whether mass is just a mathematically curled up scrap of space, is still up for discussion.

As you infer, without electromagnetic waves, (of the right frequency) no light.

What actually causes gravity. What actually pulls the matter down?

Gravity is caused by the masses of the objects involved. Different objects attract each other, just because they have a certain amount of a property called "mass".Gravity is caused by the masses of the objects involved. Who invented gravity on earth?

Gravity wasn't invented by someone. It was just discovered by Isaac Newton when an apple fell on his head from an apple tree and he did further investigation.

If light has mass then it cannot travel at the speed of light if it has no mass it would not be affected by gravity Therefore the math for the infinite mass theory at light-speed must be reexamined?

Wrong, Light has mass and does travel at the speed of light and is affected by gravity! Light mass: hf=mc^2 means m=h/cw. Optical mass is m-red=2.96e-36 kg (w=.75um). Violet would be double 5.92e-36 kg. The math for the infinite mass theory at light-speed is also wrong.- -------- Light has no resting mass, just energy. Gravity is a bend in space, therfore Gravity does not pull at light but the light 'bends' with space

What is dilute gravity?

its like gravity just its dilute

What property of light allows shadow to form?

Light is able to pass through transparent and translucent objects, but what just now the sender said is wrong, it can shine to any direction.

What are the characteristic of light at zero gravity?

When there's no gravity, light just travels in one direction at the speed of light. Gravity bends the direction at which light travels.

What is gravity distortion?

Gravity bends space, and because light travels through space gravity distorts light. Actually, gravity warps spacetime, so just as space is bent, so is time. Gravity thus distorts both space and time.

Why light travels?

It's an intrinsic property - or in other words, we don't know. It just does.

Value of gravity during solar eclipse?

A solar eclipse is just a shadow; it has no effect on anything other than the Sun's light. It's like a cloud blocking the light of the Sun. An eclipse has no effect at all on gravity, or magnetism, or electricity.

What objects in the universe are effected by gravity?

Everything can be affected by gravity, it just needs to be close enough. Even light can be affected by gravity! But I'm not much of a science person, so if you want a more detailed answer, better ask an expert ^^

Does the speed of gravity slow down through a solid medium as light does?

The pull of Gravity is instant - just there , no medium can influence it - to destroy it you have to distribute the mass , it takes time to get the masses together and takes time to take them away ! Gravity is not dependant on time ! Do some calcs yourselves on the supposed max. light speed of gravity and the effects on the alignment of the barycentres of binary masses (stars) !

What is the medium needed for light waves?

Just space. It can be empty space, or filled with matter - though some types of matter will absorb light too quickly. However, the medium that light needs to be transmitted is gravity.

If the gravity of black holes does not allow light out can they be too strong to let gravity out?

The force of gravity always increases. Gravity is one of the perfect forces. Like simple math, 1+1 = 2. Gravity is always additive. Adding more just makes more. At the heart of the most ancient galaxies are black holes with more gravity than entire young galaxies.
