No, he died in 1934
Did you mean Hachi from the movie "Hachi: A Dog's Story"? Hachi was an Akita (Japanese variety).
Shibuya train station. I believe it is actually called "Hachi's exit". There is a bronze statue that was placed there while Hachi was still alive( 1934). He died on March 8, 1934 and every year there is a ceremony which includes a Shinto priest on April 8th to honor him.
yes there is its entitled "hachiko waits" HOPE this helped ya :-)
You can watch it in youtube letmewatchthis.com/watch-22202-Hachiko-A-Dogs-Story
dogs are wonderful animals! my dog is my hero simply because she is my best friend. but there are dogs who do heroic things. service dogs are trained to lead the blind and help elderly people. dogs help disabled people, like soldiers who were wounded in a war. when you bond with your dog it becomes loyal to you. there are multiple movies out there as well as books about true stories on dog heroes. one touching dog movie is about a dog named Hachiko. a japanese akita who remains loyal to his master even after his masters death. this movie is a true story named: Hachi, a dogs tale. sad as ever but will melt your heart. hachi is so loyal, its such a nice story for the whole family.

Yes she is still alive! She currently made that movie "hotel for dogs". She is, i think, 75 years old? ha ha I'm not that sure, but I know she is still alive :D
The dog was played by six different dogs. Seeing that it is a film from year 2000, it is very likely that some (if not all) are still alive.
Apparently, there is only one Akita Inu that is widely known throughout the world. His name was Hachiko (ハチ公 in Japanese), an Akita of the Japanese variety that lived in Japan from 1923 -1935. Hachiko was recognized as one of the most loyal dogs in history, waiting nine years for the return of his owner.Hachiko was owned by Hidesaburo Ueno, a professor at the University of Tokyo, and Hachiko used to go to the Shibuya Station to greet his owner when he returned from work. Sadly, Hidesaburo Ueno died from cerebral hemorrhage. Even though Hidesaburo Ueno never returned, Hachiko spent the next nine years waiting for him at the train station until his own death. The movie Hachi: A Dog's Tale, was based on him although some parts of the plot are different from reality.Another less known Akita Inu was Gin, an Akita that appeared in the adventure manga Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin.
My dog has and she is alive still. I guess dogs probably shouldn't eat it but i mean its probably ok if they have some right?
