The name of Brahman is given to God in Sanatana Dharma (which is mistakenly called Hinduism), however the concept is present in many other faiths.Reincarnation too is present in Sanatana Dharma but is also central to other faiths. The caste system is not a part of Sanatana Dharma, it came about as a corruption of the older varna system.
Sanathana Dharma, this is the actual word. Not Hindu. meaning is "the natural and eternal way". Sanatana Dharma is anadi (without beginning) and also a-paurusheya (without a human founder).
It is SANATANA DHARMA - This is the spiritual path of Hindusim. In fact this was the name of Hinduism earlier. Sanatana Dharma, "The Law Eternal", is the more appropriate or rather the accurate name for the religion which is now known as "Hinduism". The word Hinduism is not the original name for the religion. It is a name acquired in later historic times, while the religion has been in existence since timeless beginning. This religion has its roots in the "Vedas" which are scriptures of the highest wisdom and which originated with creation itself. It was not a founded religion, it was based on revelations directly from God himself to the seers during their transcendental and intuitive communion with the Divine. It was the Dharma and code of life for men of Bharat or Aryavarta from times immemorial, i.e., from even the pre-historic and most antique ages.
Dharma
In Hinduism religious and moral duties of an individual are referred as Dharma (righteous living) . In Hinduism Dharma (righteous living) is very important for a man to follow.
Hinduism is also called Sanatana Dharma which means 'eternal spiritual path'. The belief started in India 4,000 years ago by the Aryans or the noble people.
The main religion practiced by the people in India is Hinduism.

Buddhism was started by the Buddha who was a rich Hindu prince. However, he wanted to realize the Truth. He wanted Enlightenment. Therefore, he turned away from Hinduism, which had led to the division of society, created the caste system and other malpractices and ills including meaningless rituals and superstitions. The young prince went in quest of Enlightenment, and he realized the light within. He realized that we are not this body, we are not this mind and he called it Nirvana. It was the same belief advocated by the ancient Hindus through Sanatana Dharma but he gave it a new name. He removed all the ills that Hinduism had acquired. So essentially, Buddhism has grown from the original Hindu faith called Sanatana Dharma.
This a tough question- as the so called Hinduism (right name: Sanatana Dharma) is truly a conglomerate of kindred faiths. If one must identify the basic tenets of this religion then the following would fit: A belief in an afterlife; In a succession of lifetimes; That a way out of the cycle of births and deaths is available That this is the final goal to work for.
