I would assume that it is reasonably unsafe and would strongly not recommend it. H2O2 is released in the body by peroxizomes as a method of cell destruction. Perhaps a VERY low concentration could work, but water would be a far safer bet.

Is 91 percent Isopropyl Alcohol a better disinfectant than 3 percent Hydrogen Peroxide or is 3 percent Hydrogen Peroxide better?

Hydrogen peroxide 3% is a much better disinfectant. Hydrogen peroxide may be used in the oral cavity for disinfection. Isopropyl alcohol, also known as Rubbing Alcohol is only used on surface skin and not on mucosa. It dries quickly by evaporation, hence it does not have too much contact time to completely disinfect. Hydorgen peroxide's foaming action ensures full coverage of an area, with extended disinfecting action.

Why does blood bubble when its mixed with hydrogen peroxide?

Hydrogen peroxide bonds to, and destroys cells. In doing so, it creates the bubbles you notice. Blood is made up of many cells, and therefore it reacts the same way. It is safe to use at over the counter concentrations for oral antiseptic use or cleaning wounds.

How is hydrogen peroxide harmful?

Yes, and it's also corrosive and would do a lot of damage to the esophagus.Another opinion:While the above may be true for high concentration hydrogen peroxide, it bears noting the antiseptic one buys at the pharmacy is a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and water. At this concentration, it's comparatively harmless, and it would take a huge dose to do any serious harm. In fact, I've seen hydrogen peroxide 3% prescribed as an oral mouthwash-antiseptic. And it would take an amazing amount to reach acute toxicity. That said, it's probably not a good idea to swallow the stuff. So, in answer to the question, small amounts of hydrogen peroxide can be consumed without significant harm (although -- once more -- this is not a good idea).

Why do you have to take food grade hydrogen peroxide on an empty stomach?

"Concentrated hydrogen peroxide, such as found in food grade 35%, MUST be diluted in order to be safely ingested. Further, oral oxygen MUST be taken on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before or 3 hours after a meal. To consume liquid oxygen with food in the stomach causes the oxygen to disassociate too rapidly, most of the oxygen being exhaled before it has a chance to absorb through the stomach wall. Further, the presence of natural bacteria in foods accelerates the foaming of the hydrogen peroxide, which can cause nausea and other stomach upsets. Virtually all of these problems are eliminated when you take the formula on an empty stomach."

What does an effective oral interpretation require?

all of above
