Drink lots of juices with Vitamin C in them, such as orange juice. If the Orange Juice irritates your throat too much, drink a juice that isn't as acidic, like Grape Juice. This will help clear toxins

∙ 13y agoCaffeine is usually not a great idea when you're sick because it can cause dehydration. Generally people with tonsillitis have a hard time drinking enough fluids because it is painful to do so. You really want those fluids and although caffeine may make you feel a bit perkier for a while, you'll just be using energy you don't have. Hot liquids will make you feel better, but try decaf.
